About Joelle

Wrestling with muddy livestock in the rain between conference calls may seem like an unlikely combination to most, but for Joelle, it is everyday life. Together with her husband, she helps manage beef cattle, crops and custom hay production on their central Indiana farm. She recently left her corporate marketing job in the city when she realized that her duty of being a farm wife on their four-generation family farm was quickly growing bigger than her nine-to-five. With ever-changing weather conditions in the midwest and a young family, she eventually found her role on the farm quickly causing her to outgrow her office job. After rolling up her sleeves to help expand the family farm, an unexpected business formed which made her realize there are so many other women facing similar challenges. As a result, many rural women are by necessity, also entrepreneurs (and aren’t always found donning muddy coveralls). Too many of these women struggle, not realizing their calling whether that be on the farm or at a desk.

Joelle is on a mission to bridge the gap between rural and professional, and provide encouragement to others cultivating their dreams along with their land.
